You can online resources you can find halal. Only Google halal, and there are many online sites for halal food. Even if you are at your local butcher, many of them will carry the halal meat. Here in Arizona, many Muslim students do not eat kosher meat, halal meet standards, too.
Try this site where all the shops and restaurants with halal meat lists. You can always ask where they get their meat zabihah to himself.
