Well, I live on the beach in North Carolina and I have a single BOB and my sister has a double BOB stroller and both are AWESOME in the sand. Wish there was more room for things to put for older children, but for my 3 months old and 2 months are protected from the sun and just awesome for everything.
I also have my Moby wrap or ring sling.
Strollers are not very well stuck in the sand when it is wet and thickens. Note that this very well. I would recommend a baby carrier of some kind for carrying babies.
